[TV] Catch 22

Did anyone just watch it on channel 4 this evening? I expected it to be rubbish, but thought that it was excellent.

I was slightly the opposite.

Was looking forward to it then thought it was a bit meh.

Will keep on with it though.

Really enjoyed that. Nicely filmed, nicely paced, great performances, and of course the brilliant source material.

I'm sure they'll repeat it before the second instalment

I've watched the first 4 episodes and enjoyed it.
I've mentioned it on 'obscure' and made a point of only recommending it to people who don't know the source material.

There's no point saying 'if you loved the book...', to you lot!!

I loved the book and have read it several times. I think they were on a hiding to nothing, trying to serialise it. Under the circumstances, I thought they did a pretty good job and can’t wait for next week’s episode.

One of the funniest books I've ever read.

And then you've got the haunting, ominous slow reveal of... "and Snowden lay dying in the back"

I love it.

Dunbar my favourite character.

Spends all his time doing incredibly mundane and boring stuff.

This is because time moves more slowly when you are bored, thus lengthening his lifespan
