I took it to mean that (in Tim's view) the main reason for today's victory was not, as some have suggested, the fact that Wayne Henderson did not play in goal, but rather it was more directly attributable to the fact that Richard Carpenter did not play.
I'm not saying I necessarily agree with that view, I'm just 'translating' it as I see it.
