Just far enough away from LDC
Its the 'gary lineker should stick to sport' argument on misogynistic steroids.

She can be 63 and wear tight fitting clothing as long as she doesnt have a view on politics.

Where Bailey has screwed up is saying that sentence out loud and meaning it and the getting annoyed when people hit back.

Was surprised (not) to read julia hartley brewer criticise her despite often wearing low cut tops etc on tv. What she wears has no bearing on whether i think her (paid for) views are good or bad. The same should be the case for vorderman

Neither here nor there
She's using her public profile to draw attention to some of this government's more egregious acts of cronyism and corruption and it's winding up EXACTLY the right people. Good on her I say.

While this is happening, she's facing an unpleasant onslaught of sexist and personal abuse that men of her age, and her public standing, would never have to put up with.

I hate to sound like one of those guys, but she is well known for being an ABSOLUTE GOER.

Swingers parties and all sorts. Good old Carol.
Whereas Shaun Bailey's sex pamphlet was wholesome

there are numerous reasons why Bailey was unsuccessful in his bid to become London Mayor. Seem to remember it started to unravel the moment he started opening his mouth

Please don't misunderstand me, and think I am #teambailey whatsoever in all of this.

My comments about Vorderman are not intended to be negative in any way, shape or form.

To be fair plenty of people are making a career and a decent living out of it, just by monetising "Tories bad, booooooo" type tweets. I guess it's the same for the other side also.

Carol and Gary obviously don't need the money but like I suspect they like the adoration and the probably the aggro as well!

I was a bit indifferent to Carol Vorderman until I saw her on Iaith ar Daith, partnered with that camp weatherman who plays the drums. They were a great double act and she came across as someone really engaging.

And that was before her second career as an anti-Tory agitator: she's been great in that role. I suspect that some members in the Labour party would love to find her a safe seat, but the rest of the party would think she's too much of a loose cannon.

She appeared at a Lib Dem conference talking about electoral reform, or PR.
Carol criticises corruption rather than a specific party, it’s just that the Tories are giving her a lot of ammunition at present.

Just depends on which side you're backing doesn't it, I mean, Rachel Riley seems to do okay constantly gobbing off or litigating against any that have the temerity to disagree with her....

I hope she stays true to that and goes after Labour too. No Government is perfect and they’re sure to slip and need calling out, just not on a daily basis like the current rabble!
