Unbelievable.

But if you pay primadonna wages, you get primadonna behaviour. Absolutely digraceful.

I heard about this on the radio driving back - total tosser in my view and MCFC would be better off without him

Seriously, what sort of utter wanker thinks it's OK to sign a contract for £200k a week or whatever, moan about the city he's playing in, then refuse to do the job he's paid for?

A new low in professional football. Say what you like about tools like Dennis Wise, or even thinking back to the Keiran Dyer/Lee Bowyer incident, at least none of them have ever done that. :nono:

I am no lawyer. But can't they just boot him out with no settlement for Breach of Contract?:tosser:

Time for Man City to make an example of him. Sack him but retain his registration. It is time for football to stand up to this kind of behaviour. Maybe a bit late though!

Is he on a work permit? Refusing to work will invalidate it. Who knows, maybe this is what his solicitor has advised him.

UK Border Agency - Conditions of your stay
If we give you permission to stay in the UK, the only work you are allowed to do is the job described in your certificate of sponsorship, working for your sponsor

I would have thought the guy was in breach of contract. Anyone else who turned up for work but refused to do the job they were employed for would be sacked. Mancini needs to get the guy away from the first team squad, but even training with the kids would have a bad effect.

I can't imagine any player pulling a stunt like that with a Roy Keane, John Terry or Tony Adams around.

I still think City will implode this year, they have way to many egos at the club.

They should have sold him in the Summer, Instead they refused to let him leave, signed a replacement and then never play him. Something like this was always going to happen with someone like Tevez.

Saying that its quite funny as City are scum

Isn't that precisely what he's trying to engineer?

This. if it is possible. With the money City have they can afford to do it. I just hope it is not something he can subsequently sue them for and get his lost wages back.

Utter disgrace.

The only thing that cheered me up is that I finally managed to conquer a particularly fiendish level of Angry Birds on the train home.
