I think (and hope) Liam will get more than one. Great for our youngsters playing for that man but with the pressure of being at a big club (for league one).

Edit: + Hayden Roberts

Not sure that League 1 isn't a bit under-cooked for rising star Rushworth. Just right for Roberts though - time for him to go on loan and show the early promise is justified.

A couple of familiar faces there for him. Max Sanders there already, and Danny Mandriou about to join.

& they’ve signed 20 year old Jay Benn from Halifax, so presumably he’d know Rushworth too.

They’ve done some good business this window, might be back around the play-off hunt like they were a couple of years ago.

Bit disappointed he didn't come to us, seems quite highly rated. Word on the street is that guaranteed game time was an issue which makes sense from both perspectives.

Like you say on the other thread, seems odd to get Roberts though when you actually have some good options there

Disappointing loan IMO…

Was really hoping for a championship team - still Sanchez followed a L2 then L1 approach and he turned out rather well.

Hopefully he’ll get ‘guaranteed’ playing time.

I think it’s slightly different for a GK. Yes the finishing isn’t as good but neither in the defending so he’ll have lots of work to do. And it’s great to prepare a GK physically which it undoubtedly is at that level. He does seem to be an exceptional young keeper so will keep a close eye on this one.

Yep following Sanchez path. He’s only just turned 21. Given he’s a goalkeeper where mistakes are almost always punished last thing you want is a championship loan where he might struggle for game time. Looks a good move

The difference IMO, is actually the level of sharpness, as every step up the quickness of the game and speed of thought is another level. Taking that specific point there isn’t a lot of difference between L1 and L2, which is why I’m a bit disappointed.

He’s only 21 so he has so much time and room to grow into

Tad disappointing for me - I'd have liked to see him jump up a division higher. Still, it worked just fine for Big Bob - and anyway the development team know far more than I do about what's best for him at this time!
Hope he has another stellar season.
