No-one seems to have acknowledged this point. Why be curmudgeonly about being beaten by a better side on the day? They were first to the ball, found their men very well, were strong, quick and made the most of their chances. They played well as a team - as we did not. And they brought the most amazing support - with singing that was almost neck-tinglingly awesome!

Didn't think I'd ever post this about Cardiff, but credit where credit's due. I spoke to some of their fans waiting for the coach afterwards and they all wished us well for Falmer.

They were good, supportive fans. Kind of thing we need on Tuesday...

f*** the support, they were a decent team - particularly impressed with how they didn't lie down after our goal. In Jerome they have a young marvel, they are well led and will not be part of the bottom 6 this year - good luck to 'em.

They were good, at least going forward - we probably didn't stretch their defence as we should have. In Koumas they have the best player in the division, and Jerome looks an outstanding prospect.

Did they? I thought they were OK. Sure they were better than us, that's undeniable, but I don't remember a siege on our goal or a deluge of saves from Henderson. They just did enough to beat us.

We'll play many better teams and lots of teams playing better than that Cardiff performance.

Didn't think Cardiff were that good. They were made to look good by an inept performance by us. If they had been able to finish properly they should have been at least 3-0 up by half time.

From all accounts, we were total shite.....

No we weren't. We had plenty of possession but just didn't do anything imaginative with it. Cardiff sussed us out after 10 mins and neutralised everything we tried to do.

We made them look good by letting them run at us, shirking tackles and generally looking about as impotent as John Wayne Bobbit shortly after the chop.

We went sideways, they went forwards. They weren't all that by any means.

I agree with you. I thought that Cardiff were a very ordinaryy team. Brighton were extremely poor; lightweight, weak in defence where Guy is really showing his age and McShane is simply not strong enough to play in the centre at this level. Knight, Carole and Jarrett were ineffective. Henderson, Hammond and McShane, when he went forward, were the only players to look championship standard.
Sorry but the Albion looked every bit a bottom of the table team.

I thought Cardiff had a poor defence, an average midfield, and a very good attack including the excellent Jerome.

Their fans were as noisy as any I have heard at Withdean.

The player I would like us to sign would be Ricketts though. Get rid of CKR Richards, McCammon, McPhee, Nicolas, and the Argentinian and we should be able to afford his wages?

Although OGH looked the best prosepct of creating anything from right back, he looks overweight to me. Lacks the pace.
