Was wondering about going to the Cardiff away game, next month as a mate form uni is a big cardiff city fan. She seems too think I would be ok and it is more heavily policed than a few years ago but i'm not sure - has there been any trouble this season for away fans there?

Nope. None that I'm aware of anyway. Several clubs have brought fairly big followings with them (Forest, Sunderland, Wolves, Pompey, Blackburn, etc) and the games have passed off without incident as far as I know.

I'll be speaking to the guy who is in charge of policing at our games soon (probably Saturday), and I'll try to get as much information as I can regarding how the away fans are accomodated at Ninian these days. I'll post the info up on NSC at least a week before the game, but probably sooner.

These seems like a fair assesment. If you go to any club and start given it the large in the town / city centre or outside the ground, you are asking for trouble. If however you are just having a day out, then you will more then likely be okay. This goes for Cardiff away the same as Peston away.

Of cause they won't go.They only go in numbers too places like Aldershot, Southend, etc where they know they wont get a thick ear and can say.....Look at our mob!

I've been twice but wouldn't go again, unless it was a massive match.

The town centre is nice, but have seen Albion fans picked on indiscriminately after the match by Cardiff and you have to ask yourself "Who needs this?"
