Yes, a reminder that Italians run when things get tough, although the song refers to an escape from the Germans :lolol:

It was fun against Burnley…although we lost that one

How about a few packs of these to go with the coloured cards to REALLY get the atmosphere going?

Best I ever heard was at the Stadio Olimpico, world cup qualifier 1997. England needed a draw to qualify, which they achieved, remember Paul Ince/Paul Gascoigne famous pint of Guinness. The eight thousand official England fans behind one goal and a similar amount of England fans who travelled without tickets behind the other, belting out the Great Escape for a solid 20 minutes plus, stamping their feet, bashing their seats, the noise was incredible. This riled the Italians to an extent they threw everything they could get their hands on at us. They were nasty bastards then as well. They also had many pro IRA banners.
This was the famous game where we were kept in the stadium for three hours + after the game, then having to walk back to the centre of Rome.
Now while I think twenty seven years later it is a bit tinpot, if that same atmosphere was replicated, that would be awesome. Could this unsettle the Roma players? Who knows

and the one that hasn’t (me) is presently with his better half in Worthing Hospital as she goes under the hammer so by the time I’ve tucked her in I’ll be lucky to make kick off
I know the NHS is on its knees but they’re employing builders as surgeons now?

We thought it might be The Great Escape, but in the end it was A Bridge Too Far
