Can we appeal to allow Leon to play Gills?

Can we appeal to ensure Leon plays Gills?

Can we appeal ? Given that boxing day is a six pointer by any standards, and that Leon has played well the last few games if an appeal would at least delay the suspension seems to me well worth it. Since he was booked for diving, which he and McGhee disputes seems to be no reason why we shouldn't appeal.

Not sure what the rules are now. Can we do it? Do we have anything to lose?

wherever the money is
Leon said that he hopes the club will appeal for it as quote "I thought it was a penalty, they thought it was a penalty, the Ref gave a penalty and the linesman changed his mind by saying it was a dive"

Heard if we lose the appeal then he is going to play Ben Roberts up front, since he needs a decent run out anyway.

Does he? I'd think that's the last thing he needs, or the last thing WE need at least.

Hate to say it, but Leon deserves everything he gets from referees. How many times has he blatently dived in the last season and a half? There's been many threads moaning about it in the past.

Of course referees must talk amongst themselves about players to watch out for - and Leon must be on their 'diving' list. Sad for him - but he's made his own bed.

Yeah I know he dives sometimes but has he ever got a decision through his diving?? I cant remember one except for maybe Gillingham away.

You cannot appeal against a yellow card - other than for cases of mistaken identity.

there was no mistake identity here. the referee meant to book Leon and he did.

Ergo no appeal

Im not sure of the Gills one though, I think it may have actually been a penalty.

Right keep telling yourself that and one day it might be true.

That's of he doesn't get sent off against Watford.

Oh well, that answers my question. Thanks.

Here's a long-shot. How about playing Gary Hart up front with McCammon/Virgo for the match ?

It will probably be a tight, hard fought relegation battle, so prefect for Harty wether on the wing or up front.

I doubt he'll play though.
