Can This Get Any Worse?

Over the course of the day I was starting to think......"You know what I have a weird feeling Micky may well just turn this round!" I have been as negative as anyone in recent weeks but after Attila's comments about "getting the real Micky back" I thought the best way to do that is get behind the lads. But now it seems to be getting worse with out even kicking a ball in anger. Good on the board and Micky for targeting a decent young left back but him turning us down shows what a dire state we are in. The inital mistake was Knight's in the way he handled getting Deano out and Micky in, then Micky (with, I think, alot of help from Booker and White) proceeds to cock the team up, then us fans wade in making things worse by letting the players get too much of a hint about how we feel about their boss!!!

The only way out of it is (and I know alot of you are not going to like this) young hungry loan players. It is unlikely we will get anyone of real qaulity to sign permantly (I really hope I am wrong) due to our league position, and mid 20's loanees have to many other career issues to worry about.

So Micky and Dick PLEASE get do something else I am gonna starting going seriously mental soon!!!!!!!

Yes it could, we could be 1-0 down to Hereford with 28 minutes to go and about to lose our league status..............but the ball breaks to Maskell, he shoots........it hits the post and rebounds into the six yard box...........everyone holds their breath, half a dozen players try to be first there, Robbie Reinelt is first and he lashes it into the back of the onion bag, Robbie f***ing REINELT...............YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Hmm..... not sure if it's good to tempt fate. Being worse than that would mean out of the league, and for all your excitements in barely scraping that season while Hereford went out - I do not want us anywhere near that possibility again.
Cue fans saying how league 2 is better than ever, and we lost those players when we went down so it's understandable that Mickey can't buy a result... no thanks, let's not.

I sometimes wonder now, if it was worth it.

The player said the two reasons for turning us down were (i) Brighton was a long way from his home and (ii) Stockport are in a better league position than us.

Hard to argue with either of those.

He didn't touch on reason 3 - Leeds have shown an interest. :annoyed:

Micky will keep us up and we will go to Wembley so it can only get better.

The fact that the teams around us are picking up while we are still on the slide suggests it can get at least four places worse.

Having survived that once I'd like to think our board would've learned some lessons but here we are going down to a league where one bad season can put you into that position again.
