Technically yes. Realistically, almost certainly not.

Trouble is we could be relegated sooner

I hope so. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than that bunch of snivelling oiks being relegated again.

I am going to hope and pray every night before I go to bed wishing Southampton to follow us in to League 1.

We will have a derby to look forward to then!

They were certainly VERY dismissive of The Championship last August, thinking they only had to turn up to make their way serenely back to The Premiership

Totally.

Unfortunately my company have had corporate seats/box at St Marys for the past few seasons and I have spend far more time down there than I would usually chose to. There was so much gloating and vitrriol from them when the wheels starting falling off at Leeds, that gloating was then tripled the season we were relegated and getting stuffed 5-0, 5-1 week in week out. Then when we went down there was lots of "see you in twenty years time if you manage to make it back up".

Of course - I loved last season. Nothing made me happier than them following us down within one season. Then of course Redknapp with his stupid anti-Leeds stance (How I'd love to pass him on the way back up this summer) and their total arrogance about this division and how they would bounce right back up and walk all over each and every team every week.

Since November 2005 and that game when they were 3-0 up with 71 minutes to go and ended up losing 4-3 I've not heard a peep out of the inbred scummers.

Will hope and pray they bottle it and drop down.

To cheer myself up I re-read this post that appeared on a Southampton messageboard at the start of the season.

Seems to get funnier as the season goes on and I'm so glad I saved it.

I was thinking about this the other day, we need to come up with some songs that kind of poke fun at our relegation. I'm no psychologist but in my experience, if somebody is trying to wind you up, its better to laugh at yourself with them. That way they got nowhere else to go with it. So when the away fans start trying to take the p*ss, we can just come back with a song to show that we will take everything they throw at us and not bite back.

If we drawn with them at there place, they would be on 40 and it would be so much more likely.:nono:

I've been saying for months now, who ever finishes above Southampton will be safe. I've always seen them as the team to finish 3rd or 4th bottom.

Maybe we should reignite our rivalry with Southampton. Mean, if they go down we may as well make use of it as Palace would still be Championship/Premiership.

I'd love to see them go down. There are far too many northern teams in the division below.
