Just had a classis message sent through the site regarding the red one "This is the away shirt". sadly the person didn't tell us the team, or leave his contact details

Yep, red one is a Racing Club Strasbourg shirt!
This is their new badge and can see the similarity:

i went on a journey - looked up where magic tree were based - Sarreguemines - a beautifully named town on the franco-german border (french side) more famed for pottery - from there i went to their club, thought they may be athletic club alas but they were not, they were L’Association sarregueminoise de football 93 and the team played in blue and white stripes, so my quest - while fun - was in vain.

but that is RSC - whereas the shirt here says ASC.

Common as Mook may well be right but a quick look at the Cherbourg website does nothing to back it up.

though it's still a bit odd. 'mythical shirt sponsor'???

Lifted from a page found after a google search (translated)

100 Lire and no one will buy ... I realized after several idols made their way to other places, La Spezia in the first place (mythical shirt with sponsors Arbre Magique).
