I am also in need of a plumber - got a copper pipe in airing cupboard (think its to do with water going to the shower). Seems to have started to leak very slightly, been told it is a very quick and easy job but I don't have the tools myself.

Anyone know a reasonable plumber who wont charge over the top?

Assuming it's a fairly new machine I wouldn't bother with a plumber. The water inlet pipe you can buy from B&Q for around a tenner, the waste pipe is typically attached to the machine and just needs to be connected with a hose clip to waste under sink. Leccy plugs are standard three pin. I'm sure there are videos on YouTube to show how to connect. It really is simple.

If its a simple one out one in you're looking at around the £40 mark

hopefully with standard hot/cold connections.. Does power source need to be hard wired to mains, or a normal plug?

If the latter, then nothing to see here, move along..

If it's a new/ nearly new machine you won't need a hot connection, as new machines are cold fill only.

Hard to give a price without seeing where the machine is going. Is it next to the kitchen sink unit?
