It seems the only match in Scotland or the North East that we are lobbying for National Falmer Day is Berwick v Hamilton Accies - loads of good vibes from Berwick supporters.

At the moment there are five going (including a Celtic and a Hibs fan) .... so anymore genuine Seagulls would be really welcome ... we could create quite an impression as their average gate is only about 500 ...

PM or post on NSC if you can come along

Cheers

Hearts aren't playing that day due to they're being out of the cup. I would love to come to the Berwick game but I'm not sure whether I will get a sanction from the Missus. I do have a contact who is a Berwick fan and also a reporter for the Daily Record. It's possible he is going to the game and, who knows, he might even do a piece. Is it worth getting in touch with him? How many are we talking about?

Hi Jambo
At the moment its me, my missus (who will also wear the stripes), my sister-in-law (who I will beat into wearing a Brighton shirt), my best mate who's a Hibs fan (don't hold it against him!) and is coming down from Edinburgh and another mate who's a Celtic fan but who is 100% behind us .... so desparate for more genuine Seagulls.

Okay just to flag this to the top again .. had three emails so far, so thanks ... we may now have between 5 and 8 going to Berwick for National Falmer Day. Gonna be away all weekend (family holiday in the Lake District - may even get snowed into the hotel bar!). But will catch up on this next week and hope a quite a few Alba Seagulls will join us.
Have a great weekend ...
3-1 against Stockport!

Update:

This is posted on the Berwick Rangers wesbite .... seems they haven't got the full message (but they will!)

Fans of Brighton and Hove Albion will be at Shielfield on Saturday handing out leaflets. It's all in support of "National Falmer Day" - a campaign to harness nationwide support in their bid for a new Community Stadium at Falmer. Groups of Albion fans will be attending matches right across the country explaning to anyone who'll listen exactly what their plight is. In a nutshell it seems that their present home is a 7,000 capacity athletics stadium but they wish to move to a new bigger capacity stadium at Falmer. Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott has the final say on whether planning permission will be granted or not and at the moment he doesn't fancy the idea.

The guys will have Brighton's blue and white strips on so you'll not miss them. Ask them about celery and Crystal Palace too maybe?

Or our motto: Nisi Spiritu Di Nihil (Hove County Grandma School) ... can't remember what it means, but it sounds good ...
