Worst chocolate assortment going? Only just edges out quality streets which are also really disappointing.

Also, have Celebrations chocolates got smaller?

i am not a big fan of roses. but how can you say quality streets aren't ... quality? the toffee pennys and those little toffee sticks covered in chocolate are nothing short of genius

I love the 'hazel whirls', but they can no longer be bought separately. Once upon a time, they were sold in packets of their own, and could also be chosen when Woolies included Cadbury's Roses in their Pic'n'Pix selection - then they replaced these with the stupid 'Candy King' crap, which is when I stopped shopping there.

:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Yes, those 'toffee pennys' are the best toffees money can buy.

When I were a lad, many shops stocked 'toffee pennys' in the jars of sweets on shelves behind the counter, so you buy a bag of them by the ounce.

Those days have gone, now, though. Progress, apparently.

But aside from the toffee sweets there's really not much to shout about. These two heavyweights of the selection box world need to step up their games imo. Orange Creme? Do me a favour.

ps Nestle can kiss my arse. Baby murdering scum.

Cadburys HEROES are the only way to go.

Once again Uncle Hiney is SPOT ON with his comments when he says ''HEROES are the only way to go''. This Christmas if I decide that I want to purchase a selection box (which I won't) it won't be for the two traditional (read as 'stuck in the dark ages') boxes or the underwhelming 'Celebrations' but for the HEROES whose name really sums it up as an assortment and rightfully places it alongside our soldiers in Afghanistan and our own management team at the Albion who are heroically attempting to get us relegated.

Oh yeah, there is a chocolate in my Roses box (which I 'won' as past of a raffle) called BRAZILIAN DARKNESS. I daren't even contemplate what's in that.

are you seriously stating that anything in a box of heroes could begin to compare with the coconut one in the shiny green wrapping in a tin of quality street ?

We have gone for both Quality streets and Heroes this year. I think Quality Street remain my favorite altohugh heroes do run them close for some reaosn they just don't feel as christmasy as Quality streets.

Oh and Roses and celbrations can just do one. Waste of space

YES!

Roses, Quality Street and Celebrations dress up their second-rate chocs in a variety of names designed to disguise the fact that they taste like SHIT.

HEROES on the other hand go for the simple but EFFECTIVE approach of calling their chocolate DELIGHTS the SAME as their larger cousins. It does EXACTLY what is says on the tin.

They are HEROES in name and taste
