red cabbage, cooked slowly with a little water, white wine vinegar, bramley apple, black pepper and some sugar. Serve with sausages and mash. Utterly gorgeous.
plus, can there possibly ever be a greater sarnie than marmite & pickled red cabbage? Incredible - a flavoursome delight, if ever there was one!
