He wasn't my choice ... I had him behind Knight, Cullip, Carpenter and Virgo ... but good luck to the guy anyway. It's clear that most Albion fans wanted him and he has been consistent for us this season.

It's funny, I remember Brian Horton getting the Player of the Season award the year Peter Ward finished as the top scorer in the country. Everybody voted for Horton because they assumed everybody else would be voting for Ward.

Still, I'm with Chappers. If Guy Butters really was our best player of the season then heaven help us next season if we get promoted.

Remember at Colchester season before last when we sang "We're just a One Man Team" as we stuffed them 4-0 with BZ suspended.

Same philosphy applies to Leon regardless of how many goals he scores.

I do not like this attitude that says the goalscorer is always the best player. It's a bit like when we bring in a big new order at work - why should the salesman get all the credit when lots of different people have worked on the proposal? oh .. wait a minute I'm the salesman - oh well, back to the drawing board on that argument then.
