Saw Red Admirals 2 days ago in Little Common. Apparently it's often the first and last to fly each year according to The Butterfly magazine.

I've been through this thread looking for the challenge, but there aint one. I can't believe anywhere in Sussex has gone a whole year without any frost, even on the coast. Aren't you the guy who said there wouldn't be snow in Sussex a few years ago, then had to concede he had 5 inches of the stuff in his garden? Think I'll wait for Papa Lazarou to hit the thread! This is normal now, last years December we had many days in the 60s and 5 days warmer than days in June this year, the night temperatures were also much warmer than June and July. Today it will reach mid 60s and a minimum tonight of 55. This is going to be another very mild winter with no frost and no snow at all
15c here in Southampton. That seems ridiculous for mid November. I cycled to work in a t-shirt as it was too warm for a coat.
