Boss Butcher leaves Brentford job
Former England captain Terry Butcher has parted company with Brentford by mutual consent, the club announced on their website.
Andy Scott takes temporary charge of the first team with Brentford facing fellow League Two strugglers Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday.

Brentford are currently 19th in League Two having lost 1-0 at home to Grimsby at the weekend.

brentford are nearly as bad as leicester for getting through managers - although they were WOEFUL when i saw them earlier in the season

Brentford have just announced the go-ahead for a new stadium, it is true that the team are not performing well at the moment, I reckon that they are ripe for a take-over.

Wasn't he the one who went for a swim in the Thames before an important game?

Terry Butcher is like a lower-league Graeme Souness. Keeps getting offered jobs (for some reason) and is a disaster in every one of them. There must come a point when even they realise they have no talent for management and should do something else.

Brentford are only 19th in league 2 because they haven't played us and scored 4 to our nil

I have really gone off Terry Butcher in recent years. He seems to have become the media expert in slagging off the England team. I have never heard someone so consistently negative about all things England (except for Chris Waddle - maybe it's an Italia '90 thing).

Agree about Butcher's negativity, shame - he has become one of those ex-pros, maybe a bit bitter and jealous of how much more this lot are earning.

Just on another point, people are always banging on about how supporter-owned clubs are so great, but the Brentford Trust has co-chosen the managers with chairman Greg Dyke and they've made a total pigs ear of three appointments in 18 months since Martin Allen left.

Yes...and Bournemouth are struggling too.

Wonder how Ebbsfleet Utd will fare this season? Not too well I reckon

I love it every time he does shit cos the amount of stick he ALWAYS gives anyone to do with England you'd think the bloke was the best manager in the world!

Former England captain could be a shoe in if he was half as good a manager as he is at ranting but this just proves he's not fit to comment on anyone even in the running to be the next manager! TWAT!
