Buses today

Anyone know anything about buses from the centre of Brighton to Withdean today? On the Brighton Buse webiste it lists just the 12.50 and 1.43 no5 bus from Churchill Square. In past years the club has put on specials from the Steine. Have I missed news of this?... poss with Xmas hangover of course.

Boxing Day special services on routes 1, 2, 5, 5B, 6, 7, 14, 22B, 49, 50, 77, 78, 79 and Park & Ride

Last 5 to get you there on time is at 1.43pm, arrives around 2.08pm. The next one leaves 70mins later.

Otherwise it is a nice stroll from Withdean back into town , should only take about 45 minutes. I can remember one Boxing Day there was no buses and I walked from Whitehawk over the Race Hill down Elm Grove over to Preston Circus up New England Hill and then down Old Shoreham Road to watch the Albion. After the game I got a lift back to the bottom of Elm Grove and walked the rest. Those were the days.

That was about 30 or more years ago when I was a teenager. Kids today wont get off their fat arses. Most of them are vegetating in front of a tele playing computer games. Sheepcote Valley is a shithole quite literally, with tons of rubbish buried there and the methane gases slowly being released.

The timetable on the website doesn't list P&R as running on Boxing Day but elsewhere on the site mentions it as running every 12-15 minutes.
