Buses on Friday

I just phoned Brighton & Hove Buses to find out what exactly was meant by 'allow extra travelling time to get to the match'.

North Street is closed in both directions from 6.30 to 7.30pm, thanks to the Burning The Clocks parade, so the buses going from the City Centre to Withdean will turn up Queens Road, turn right down North Road and left into London Road, before continuing their normal routes. A normal service is expected, but there may be some delays on account of the fact that North Road won't be able to accommodate buses in the same way that a supposedly car-free North Street can. (That last sentence I'm paraphrasing from the what the woman on the phone said).

Coming home... "Brighton & Hove Buses will lay on the same service as for any other match".

Bugger. Unless the club has organised some more... :(

Still, at least we know now - despite the despicable concept of it eating into valuable drinking time, I suppose I could walk.

Go for it. Where have I missed it?

someone put something on Ask the Club about this and basically Insider told him to f*** off and phone the bus company himself and find out...

Led to a massdebate

and much name calling

DTG - I have contacted the bus company TWICE on this in the last 10 days and had no response.

Ergo, I am a bad fan and taking my 2 to the panto instead this Friday.

As you have not only PAID for your tickets already, and also arranged for three others to attend in your place, you are pardoned.

Just this once mind - don't make a habit of it! :jester:

Someone? You talkin' 'bout me? Don't see anyone else you're talkin' 'bout.

f*** it, the debate that followed was between two people with interesting, extreme-ends-of-the-spectrum hair-dos, but started by a pillock whose intelligence would improve considerably if his hair was set on fire.

Not only a bad fan but also a bad parent if you don't have them in bed by 8pm.

We're all going to the panto on Friday night, Buzzer.

It's just that ours is al fresco.

Alan. Take a bow, sir.

..and you can shut it, Kev. You took your kids to Ireland which must constitute some kind of abuse so unless you want to feel the wrath of a full Buzzer rant, button it matey.

I don't know rool, Buzzer, but I bet he at least lets his kids get their hair cut.

when rool was a wee boy, he had a perm that made Kevin Keegan's look positively flat!
