Good call, the 25, 28 and 29 are likely to be absolutely chock full. Is Coldean walkable does anybody know?, buses from there too, 26 l think.

LB can you assist?.
...Unless you get on them at Sussex Uni before they get to the stadium, that's my plan anyway.

Coldean (the bottom of) is 1 mile away.

I'd have thought that anyone taking the bus from the city centre to Falmer would jump off at the first bus stop within Sussex University, rather than get the unguided tour of the UoS campus in the forlorn and ultimately disappointed hope of getting off at Village Way.

Agreed.

And people who are on a Lewes-bound bus would be best advised to get off at the bus stop at the bottom of the slip road to Falmer, then walk back (towards Brighton) and use the underpass that links Sussex University with Falmer Station.

It's the 24 - from Coldean to central Brighton, via Lewes Road ... every 20 minutes.

But one an hour in the evenings.

And remember that it's a circular service so you can catch one on both sides of Lewes Road - if you want Hollingbury or Fiveways, the other side will be your best bet.

The 49s run from Portslade Station to East Moulsecoomb every 10 minutes. The stadium is within fairly easy walking distance of the Bolney Road terminus.

Alternatively, get any bus to the city centre and change on to one of the services going along Lewes Road - more than 30 an hour.

Is there a direct route for pedestrians from the 49 terminus? I can't imagine the police allowing hundreds of people to walk alongside a 70mph dual carriageway on a dark winters night in the rain

Bolney Road is on the estate , there should be a pedestrian route to and from the stadium but it needs a Scoomer to tell us which way (unnamed road below Egginton Rd may connect up to a pathway?).

As above although I have seen it from the train and you'll be amazed at how Lucraft has been built up right to the old Stanmer School.

For those that don't know, this road runs arjacent to the railway line. might be a fair hike and 10-15 mins.

Coldean Lane is about the same.
