FA Cup axe threat hangs over Bury
Bury face the prospect of being thrown out of the FA Cup for fielding an ineligible player in their 3-1 second round replay win over Chester City.
Bury, who play Ipswich in the third round, will answer charges over Stephen Turnbull at a 20 December hearing.

"There are approximately four options that the Challenge Cup sub-committee have," read a Bury statement.

"They could to do nothing, fine the club, order a replay or remove Bury from this season's FA Cup competition."

They won't do nothing. Fielding an ineligible player is always a very serious offence. I reckon Bury will be removed from the cup...

So if they do get thrown out, do Chester go through or do Ipswich have a bye?

West Ham played an ineligable player in the League Cup a few years ago, he had already played for Gillingham while on loan earlier in the season. They were thrown out of the cup for that offence.

I think it's still being dealt with but I am led to believe it's a small fine, not sure though. Has all gone quiet.

League.

We named six loan players on the team sheet, instead of the permitted five.

Guess it is a bit different. Hard to through someone out of the League but the cup is a bot easier.

According to Ken Bates there should be a ten point deduction for Chelsea for that offence.

Leeds will only pay 10% of the fine, in accordance with their standard terms to all suppliers.

Don't blame you, as much as I loathe the grinning GOON who is Peter Kenyon, and the greed is good mentality of the Cockney Wankers, they are still ABU, and get my vote too.
