Should they be banned?

Irrelevance.

They already are. They are a pit bull breed and should not be owned by anyone.

At the very least they should have a muzzling order on them.

I have no idea why anyone other than a criminal moron would want to own such an ugly, dangerous, monster. Let alone have it in the house.

I’d like to see the breed wiped out.

What say you?

Sussex but not by the sea
These dogs should be banned outright, no registration/license, no.one should own one, the risk is too high, whatever reason anyone comes up with why they should be the exemption, it's the owner not the dog blah blah, same logic applies to guns and nukes.. no sane or logical reason to have these animals in society
They should not be banned, they should be made extinct.

Simply need to cull these things as I say I once knew someone who had one (now has another) and it was a pup and as strong as ox he couldn’t hold it, one day he met me with it and my kids told my kids to stay well away from it

Seen a few of these around where I now live - and local residents saying 'avoid the local park', because there are few people walk them there. Why should people be made to feel they have to avoid a park because some idiots want to own a killer breed as a macho status symbol? Just ban them outright.

When there's talk that these breeds should be banned altogether, it's surprising how many journalists/broadcasters come down against that, because they're nuts about dogs. Wanting at most just some tighter regulations on the owners.

These killing and maiming machines shouldn't be permitted in the UK. Unfortunately, this would entail putting these dogs to sleep.

I agree with you except the types who want to own dogs like this will find another type not yet banned but just as dangerous especially the way they treat them & train them.

Then a proactive monitoring by the relevant government body. Not after people have died or lost half their face.

Interesting how other dogs are put at risk though by this mindset, presumably they don’t count
