Bruno is better when he has space on the wing, Calderon is better when there isn't space on the wing. If we're going to play Dave on the right, play Bruno. If we're going to play Buckley on the right, play Calderon. It's as simple as that in my opinion.

For me it's David Lopez or Calde. Apart from the first few games Bruno had been very poor. Was shocking last sat and last night. Looks to laid back for my liking.

if Buckley is on the right wing, Calderon
if David Lopez is on the right, Bruno (who can overlap and let David Lopez cut inside and play a bit more centrally if needed)

...in that order. Bruno has become our weak link at the back, too often gives the ball away and leaves us exposed dragging El Ab across to the rb birth, when we need him more central. Lopez needs to be in midfield if not rb.

Lopez as then there is space for Orlandi, Vicente and Buckley to all start further upfield.

I won't disagree that Bruno has been poor recently, but people seem to be forgetting how vulnerable defensively Calde was last season.

Was he though? We were not a bad team last season, not at all. We didn't have a terrible defensive record and it's not like we were being blown away in matches. I honestly think any criticism of the team of last season is blurred by time. This squad is better than the equivalent last season but it's an improvement on quality, rather than going from crap to quality.

Also why does last season matter? I think every game Calderon has played this season he's impressed, and Gus must be getting pissed off at Bruno's dangerous passes and his inability to be in the correct position.

Calderon. Bruno is undoubtedly quality but he plays an alarming amount of very dangerous passes that lead directly to scoring chances for the opposition of last ditch recovery tackles from Bridcutt. Maybe he needs to know that he can be dropped for poor performance rather than just injury.

At the moment Calderon as I think Bruno looks very shakey. When we were 1 up Bruno put us in danger a couple of times with sloppy clearances. But hopefully Bruno will come good again as I won't forget just how good he was at the start of the season. Maybe he plays better in the warmer weather so we might see the best of him again soon!

Calderon.

He's looked solid when he's played. Going from what's been said on here, and my last couple of games, Bruno is out of form and need's resting.

CALDE. Just watched the highlights. What IS Bruno doing for most of the Cardiff attacks? If PIG hadn't been on such good form we'd have been three or four down in the first half hour. Plus I think opposing teams have done their homework and noticed that he's a good player to close down quickly as he's still not used to not having so much time on the ball. I also think Buckley plays better with Calde.
