A Bruges is superb this time of year if not bit cold. Are you on a budget ???

No not really but envisage spending a lot of time out of hotel so will want a nice one but not 5 star.

When we went last year we stayed at the Flanders hotel which is top & can usually be included in the Eurostar deals. Its 4 star but reasonably priced and a short walk to the centre of town

You wouldn't like it, it's full of foreigners. Try Scarborough.

Take the horse carriage tour of the centre. The driver gives a running commentary which is humorous and informative. I think it was 15 euros last year.
A trip on the canals is also a must do. There are several lovely restaurants (moules and frites a speciality)

We are going on a Christmas market coach trip early Dec to Lille and Bruges.
