has anyone else noticed just how shit talk shows have become on british television? having watched for the last time 'friday night with johnathan ross' i have come to the conclusion that not one tv chat show made in britain serves any purpose in terms of actually questioning their guests. i have never really been a fan of jr but he seems to just be on that show to make a tit out of himself and don't get me started on the amount of money he's making from it.

although i have enjoyed parky's show for the last how many years, isn't it time for someone new to ask celebrities the sorts of questions people in the past have just pussy-footed around. the yanks seem to be a lot better in terms fo leno and letterman etc but when we try and adapt their stlyes we get piss-poor equivalents like sharon osborne and ruby wax. i suppose another 'tfi friday' would do me just fine.

???

How much did Chris Evans make off TFI Friday? And talk about making a tit of yourself.

I think Ross does a decent job as an interviewer on what is meant to be a light hearted chat show. His interviews with Pete Doherty are especially interesting.

On the whole I do agree though, not that I think Letterman or Leno are that interesting either.

Ross's show is often just about himself.

I think there's not much quality celebs, they only appear if they have a new film/book/album out.

I think Piers Morgan has done so good 'Too good to be sacked' interviews and i'd like to see a Paxman or somebody else off newsnight who could really dig deep.

I gave up on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross some time ago. It became the same every week.

JR comes on and talks about his family
Makes gay sexual innuendo joke introducing 4 poofs and a piano
Spends 10 minutes telling us who is on the show
Spends the entire time interviewing female guests making sexual innuendos
Talks about his family again
Wheels out Ricky Gervais AGAIN and spends 10 minutes being mates with him
Introduces music act
End of show
