High up on the South Downs.
Pathetic. For a club that whinged when we won in Cardiff that they were well equipped for the Championship and had the support, their away turn-out was pathetic. Northampton brought more. City are arguably the best team in the division but their fans aren't up to it. Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol Rovers, Plymouth and Cheltenham have all got more loyal supporters than the Ashton Gate jokers.

I agree.Very poor turn out for a team going for promotion.

i thought that, but when you consider the league games and piss pot trophy games AND fa cup replays theyve had lately, their fans may just have run out of money?

When we played them at Ashton Gate in January their home turnout was poor.

I was slightly surprised there weren't a few more, but bear in mind, even when we were going well a couple of seasons back, there were certain places we never used to sell out.

Cardiff being a prime example, mainly because it's a long trip, the ground is a dive of the highest order, and the locals have a certain reputation.

To be slightly fairer to BC fans, it's a fairly long trip down here, we charge them £23 for possibly the worst view in the entire football league, where they've no cover and it's miles away from the pitch.

Plus the fact that they've recently been involved in a cup run involving away trips to Middlesbrough, Coventry, both with replays, the Jif Lemon Tesco Economy Happy Shopper Trophy, and they've just had a local derby against Rovers.

And by all accounts their league performances have been fairly uninspiring recently (God knows they weren't inspiring against us). All of which means I don't really blame the few hundred who evidently decided not to bother (or couldn't afford the trip).

Bristol City Away Stats we took the most there for a league game so far this season... they took 4000 to Forest and 400 to us...
