anyone else sample it?

i purchased a steak and kidney pie, which to be quite honest was merely a kidney pie. although at the time it seemed standard issue football food, on my return i had to visit the toilet on no less than four occasions, where i have promptly been treating my toilet bowl to CHUNKS of kidney all day

at first, i couldn't decipher if this had been aided by a small packet of prawns i enjoyed on the journey there, but another fan has confirmed to me that he has had to visit the gents SIX times following consumption

anybody else experienced a similar scenario, or have we just been the UNLUCKY ones?

I'm afraid I always struggle for sympathy when it comes to the woes of food bought at football grounds. It is without exception uniformly dreadful. The complete lack of steak couldn't have come as a surpise, and I'd be quite surprised if the other brown squidgy stuff in that pie actually turned out to be kidney. More likely to be some kind of reformed processed offal from a mixture of discarded organs.

A bit of hunger is GENUINELY the better option. Just wait until you are somewhere you can buy something that is actually identifiable.

There is some good food available at football grounds, unfortunately you generally have to go to places like Kidderminster to find it...but your experience sounds pretty nasty...I really hope they get the food right at Falmer...a good source of income if you do!

ever since my boxing day experience at norwich a few years back when a pie virtually COLPASED into my pocket, i have usually stuck to the safe ground of the hotdog-that-is-reminiscent-of-a-lubricated-penis, and these without fail always do a suitable job - especially when combined with an entire bottle of ketchup to balance out the rubbery taste. however, there was NONE of these on offer last night - only pies or pasties. that, in itself, was a disgrace

The pies at Huddersfield i can confirm are very tasty. They also do a "yorkshire wrap" which consists of basically a yorkshire pudding batter surrounding some sunday lunch style beef, never seen that before at a football ground! And for you pizza fans they offer a splendid "pizza pod".

They also do buckets of POPCORN

This is all in the home end anyway, so it might not be available for us travelling fans

that sounds PHENOMENAL - might well go in the home end just to EXPERIENCE that

records tell me that last seasons pies at the galpham were given a 1/10, mainly because they were eatable with FINGERS due to the lack of temperature

that is a shocking statistic! Id give the pies a good 7/10 on most matchdays, especially the ones of the Balti variety. The wraps themselves are worth a respectable 7, purely because of the originality!

Have to say I went for the pastie that was ok. Had a decent pie and chips at Salisbury whilst watching Lewes win one of the few games this season
