The subject of the derelict West Pier itself is certainly not funny. That it has been allowed to fall into such a dismal state of disrepair is obviously an absolute disgrace.

However, the fact that the clown who is attempting to sell an old piece of slate and a bit of seaweed on eBay has actually found a buyer IS funny. In my opinion, anyway.

Lets all go to Falmer pond, nick a bit weed and try and sell it. Saynit is historic weed and see if we can find a buyer.

Have to agree with the Laughing Druid, strikes me as pretty funny. Provided the said piece doesn't hold any key forensic clues for the authorities.
