Our next manager may be better than the last, RDZ’s style will get us wins and IMO also unnecessary losses. We will lose games with any manager although a number have been gifted to the opposition under the current regime which annoys me. His team selections have been baffling at times like playing plodder Milner at full back any fool can see that isn’t going to work.

My only grumble is being too cavalier in a few games early on when 0-0 or 0-1.

West Ham and Everton at home probably the worst examples. Players en masse including full backs 70 yards upfield, gifting more than half the pitch to opposition pace men. Wolves second half was similar, Neto just waited over and over again by the ES touchline completely unmarked WTF. Lucky to get away with that.

But it could be one or two players not listening to the game-plan?

When do we decide that it’s not ok to just use us as a spring board to another club ? When can we show ambition and be annoyed that we’ve been used again ? Maybe from 1901 to 2022 but I think it should stop now. We need to value ourselves, not paint murals for people who don’t care about us the moment another club shows interest. I get there’s no loyalty these days but I don’t think we should be throwing flowers at RDZ and fawning all over him when he leaves at the end of the season. It was mainly potters buys and initial groundwork that got RDZ his success anyway, let’s not forget the “potterball” we were all so proud of.

Spurs we had everyone camped in the box and got caught out big time. Why Gilmour was subbed was a head scratcher. A point would of stopped Spurs opening up the points gap.

Certainly feels like it.

A bit Poyet like but not as upfront yet, he’s hardly been here five minutes though, Poyet ramped it up after being here much longer

Personally think he’s gone in the summer regardless of if we actually win something or not. Plans will already be in place for his successor though.

I shall try to answer your many questions....

We decide it is not OK to use the club as a springboard when we see an arse in a pair of trunks moving through the air into someone else's pool.

When can we be annoyed? Well, being annoyed is an emotional reaction that is under control of our autonomic nervous system. Whenever. It's all fine.

We need to value ourselves? We do. I do.

‘as he wants to leave the club in the best possible position’. Patronising prick. Don’t leave then. I’m almost beyond caring what these selfish twats do anymore. We’re a stepping stone. He says he loves the club but he doesn’t, we love the club. You’re Just another whore.
I will agree with this, IF he leaves hahah

In the cold light of day it is just business with an adoring fan base.
If this was, say Anne Sunmers who decided to change their lingerie models midway through a financial year, I don't think the customers would be that bothered, after all its just business 😉
Although it’s not is it otherwise Hereford wouldn’t as meant as much as it did to so many.

Agree with that. I do think RDZ is a bit over hyped and some on here are a bit blinded by man love.
I think if he wasn’t Italian and had a southern accent he wouldn’t be loved as much. That may sound a bit strange but his results recently were awful and when potter got those results people actually booed after a game !!

Only an entitled knobhead would boo our team based on results, especially during an injury crisis. I think the RDZ love is based more on how brave he is, how much he has improved players and the fact we are in Europe and in the hunt for top 7 still.

I’ve mentioned this elsewhere but I believe a contract has been on the table for some time but RDZ has refused to sign until the ambition of the club meets his. That obviously hasn’t materialised and Brighton will not change its approach too dramatically. The recent transfer window where RDZ wanted 2-3 first team players but got only 1 maybe has probably confirmed things for him.

He’ll be off in the summer. This will happen because he’s swayed by the ambition of the new club and dissatisfied with the policy of ours in equal measure.

Having the opportunity to sign him up for the long term would have been great but maybe not at the cost of our stability etc.

But he knows our policy so he can’t complain about it now. I like the bloke don’t get me wrong but I’m certainly not getting a tattoo of him on my calf (anymore).

not with a 20million euro or pound release clause, that is NOT happening

Yes, probably not. Think his clause will likely keep him at Sporting for another year. Or maybe Bayern/Liverpool (whichever of them won't get Xabi) will take a risk with him.

I am one of those blinded by man love

All I really want is a manager who gets us playing decent football, shows a bit of passion, has some charisma, represents our club well, has an plan and the balls to carry it through. Just someone I feel I can get behind.

RDZ ticks all these boxes. I love having him here and will be very disappointed when he leaves.

He does tick all the boxes, and you never know, there could be talks going on behind the scenes and promises made concerning strengthening the team, dependent on where we finish and if we are in a European cup again next season, fail at that target and he will go I think, achieve it and I would not be surprised to see him sign an extension and stay for another season before heading back to Italy.
