Brighton v Le Harve or Paris SG ?

Was just thinking wouldn't it be a great idea if the club could organise a pre season friendly in Europe that was in easy reach for thousands of Albion fans to get to
Let's face it were never gonna play in Europa cup or champions league so what a great idea it would be to have a few thousand popping across the channel on ferries from Newhaven & Portsmouth to get to Le Harve plus the've got a brand new stadium nearly completed , or better still a friendly against Paris St German what a weekend that could be what do think NSC a good idea or am I talking out of my arse as usual

Do we still have a link with Le Havre?
Would be a good idea tbh, even a belgian or dutch club wouldnt be too difficult to do for a day trip.

I've been lucky enough to see us play both in the last seven years. I know we used to get an EU subsidy for being twinned with Le Havre but I don't think that applies any more. We only managed to play PSG because they happened to have a friendly arranged with Benefica a few days afterwards and were in the right place at the right time.

I enjoyed our link with Le Havre. We are similar clubs, it would be a shame if there is no longer a link. Frutos and Carole were exciting players at the time.

It's nice,but nicer than the Amex? No, can't agree. Especially looking at pictures of the inside (someone put these up recently, and I'm busy trying to watch Felix Baumgartner, so can't be bothered finding them right now...)

Frutos & Carole were nothing to do with our link with Le Havre. The only mutual player (apart from Byrne) was Bertin.

Surely not a coincidence we had Frutos, Carole, Chagneioux, Diarra, Bertin and also a french left back who I forget the name of during that era?

I thought it was because we didn't have a big budget that McGhee went into the French player market because they commanded cheaper wages than British ones.

Le Harve's stands behind the goals are better than ours. Our west and east stand are better than theirs though!

Decided to make our own arrangements and stayed in Malaga, getting a hire car to go to the games. It was cheaper and a great holiday thrown in.
