What is the chance of everybody at Withdean getting behind the players and management for change and see if we can be the 12th player to help them to a win.

I am seriously concerned that the loan players if asked to extend their loan will say bollox I am not staying playing in front of that bunch of morons and eventuall MA will walk and we will be left with a dynamic trio of White Booker and Hinshlewood which in any language spells a relegation fight.

Thornton is the man to get the crowd going. He's bloody brilliant, the sort of player who should cause that 'buzz' around the ground.

Great idea!

At the final whistle on Tuesday I entered a 48 hour period of mild melancholia, but was in town on Thursday and thought what the heck and bought a ticket for Saturday

It's been the same ups and downs for nearly forty years for me and after all, they are my/our team

Aren't they?

Playing in front of 4,500 morons or back in the stiffs at their clubs playing in front of 200, I think they may decide to stay however shit the atmosphere is at Withdean. None of them have done enough to have a queue of teams lining up to loan them have they?

Play well and the chances are the crowd will be f***ing delighted to get behind them. Play like they don't care and they will get abused. It's a two way street BG.

So far as I can see, most people wipe the slate clean and turn up for a new match in positive mood, with a fresh new set of hopes and expectations. The football we get served up tends to deflate that mood fairly sharpish. Tho not as sharpish as last season at Withdean under Wilkins when we were ALWAYS at least 1-0 down after 14 minutes and chasing the game from there on in. At least this season we tend not to f*** up until 44 minutes. Which is an improvement of sorts

Perhaps the 200 would be more appreciative than those at Withdean but then again they wouldnt be paying about £26+ for the match.

I just feel that the time has come to SUPPORT the team because the alternative is too bad to consider.

I agree we need to back the side BUT it comes back to the age old debate about generating an atmosphere in Withdean.
A reasonable amount of fans will join in chanting etc if people around them do the same, however apart from mainly H block this does not happen.
Let's not forget that the players at home, apart from a couple of good performances have not given us a great deal to shout about. On the flip side let's not go down the avenue of giving the players stick like Richards etc.
