On the 19th September last year Brighton lost 3-2 at home to Southend in sickening fashion to a last minute goal.
In addition, it was announced over the tannoy that Sussex CCC had lost to Yorkshire which all but comdemned Sussex to relegation from Division One of the County Championship.
The Southend fans responded with chants of: "Essex, Essex"
Today Sussex got promoted back to Division One, Essex got relegated to Division Two and Southend find themselves in Divsion Two of the football league..
