With CMS becoming the first Brighton player to turn out for Scotland last night, how many countries have we have Brighton players represent? I'm not talking before or after their Brighton days, but players actually taking the International field as a Brighton player.

These are off the top of my head, so do not take this as gospel, but I think we've had,

England - Foster
Scotland - CMS
Wales - John Robinson
N. Ireland - Steve Penney
Eire - Michael Robinson / Mark Lawrenson

Who else?

Sergei Gotsmanov - USSR
Radostin Kishishev - Bulgaria

Did they actually play for USSR and Bulgaria while they were Brighton players though?

Otherwise it's a bit like claiming Corrigan - England.

I know the shortest ever England career was Peter Ward 6 mins 48 secs against Australlia in 1980. Ron Greenwood said he was a a bright young player and one to watch for the future. He sadly never played for England ever again ??????????

Ward England

Unbelievable! I will beat myself to within an inch of my life as a just a reasonable punishment for forgetting that. I honestly can't believe I missed that.

Did he make an appearance for them during his short time with us? Or did he cancel his contract early to go and play for them?
