Not too worried. Potter was still serving up games like that 1.5 years into his tenure.

Highlights to me how small our squad is. PL allows 5 subs but we really don’t have alternative options to what we’ve got on the pitch since Maupay and Cucu were sold and Mwepu retired. Really hoping Uncle Tony allows De Zerbi to open the war chest in January.

How can such a dominant team make scoring a goal look so hard?

Everything but a goal. Once they got it to 0-0 at half time the writing was on the wall. Oh for a goalscorer. Perhaps he should try the under 23s as they couldn’t do any worse.

I do not understand why there seems to be no investment towards a striker. We have money, do I expect all of the sum from White/Cucurella/Potter/Bissouma to go to a striker? No but at least invest 20/30m on someone

It’s like we’re playing against a Hughton team to be fair BUT this was a chance to gather a little confidence prior to two ROCK hard matches :/

It’s all a bit dreary.

The outlook is a bit bleak ... we’ll probably beat one of City or Chelsea and Roberto will be a genius... that’s football and entirely us.
No we'll lose both on this form..be looking down rather than up and the pressure on RDZ will increase.

This was very poor, hoping for best, slow, ponderous, passing across the back which is usesless possession stat, no cutting edge.. Its not working.

Just not taking our chances, confidence draining away, now 2 really tough games. Will we have the fight?

The positive is that deflection didn't go in at the end

that was really disappointing. can't really lay the blame at de zerbi's door, we've created plenty, but the club have persistently failed to sign players who are quality finishers. there's a variety of reasons for this, but this is ultimately what cost us tonight and against brentford

Confidence draining away- players losing faith in RDZ. Tactically poor, decision making poor. Trossard and Gross please feck off to Chelsea now.

It doesn’t matter who the blinking manager is- Bloom does not want to buy a decent striker so it’s going to be the same story over and over again. Why he can’t see this just amazes me. Undav is a joke of a player

Very disappointing. It’s actually insulting that the likes of Potter, RDZ, Naylor et al keep telling us we don’t need a striker. It’s so obvious it’s ridiculous.

And before the usual suspects start asking me who that should be that is why we have a recruitment department and you know what, 10 games into the season and our strikers have scored ZERO league goals I think someone new might be worth a punt.

That one’s on whoever thought it was a good idea to go into the season with one half decent striker.
