Can anyone tell me why the offside flag went up immediately when The Albion were attacking and yet in nearly every other PL game the officials wait for the play to develop?

We're soft as shit. Can see our better players looking really despondent which is sad (Dunk, Webster and Biss). It's been going on for so long that Potter doesn't have the answer for it. He just says "it's the hardest thing to do" or "they're not trying to miss". He might as well just call it as it is to see if he can get a reaction. "Yeah we miss loads of chances and it's embarrassing". What I really didn't like was Maupay's puppy dog disappointed look as he came off (for the worst PL striker there is) as if he's got it tough. Been near to useless since that Thierry Henry interview.

Cracking game to watch, bar the finishing frustration, obviously.

We played some lovely football again. Probably our best yet even.

Commentator summed it up though, saying... Our football is like that of a top six team, but our finishing isn't.

It's like deja vu from last season.

Presumably that's why he specified the thirty year old version.

I refuse to believe she is 75. It is a sign of my own mortality.

Another scalp of the bookies backing us for the draw is literally printing money. Would prefer to lose my stake every week although it makes it less painful.

Bloom buy GP a frigging striker I generally feel sorry for the fella.

Terrible situation to be in. Playing OK but unable to score. We are on our way to the bottom six. Probably safe from relegation due to the first 5 games of the season. Unless we get a good striker in January this is going to be a very painful season.

Literally 0 progression from last season. Bad subs still. Can't finish + we're worse every second half.

I am gutted as well as everyone else.

But we are still in 8th position in the Premier League......Yes 8th position.

That is progression at this point with plenty of points to play for.

Controversial opinion here, but I think we were outstanding today. So much to be pleased about.

Yes we didn't win and we should have, there is still work and improvement needed.

But we are still excellent in so many ways.

Plenty of lesser teams have an easier time scoring than we do at the moment, I think we should be really positive at the levels we play at, the intelligence and quality of the squad, again we still need goals and with those goals, wins, but what we have nailed down is hard to come by and most teams never have it, so I'm going to be thankful and appreciative about that and look forward to the time, hopefully in not to long, when we get the final bit sorted.

Nobody moaning on here (although understandable to a point) can tell me they are unhappy with being 8th at this point in the season, and we aren't there because we are an average side with a nack for scoring. We are a well above average side with a scoring problem at the moment, and I know I prefer that personally.

We will get the final bit sorted out, we are not suffering a dangerous league position with it missing at the moment, and when we get it sorted out we will be fire.

So chill and have some perspective please.

To be fair as we are dominating the game and have created countless chances, to me that shows the manager has done his part well and coached and set up the team perfectly, not really his fault that we can't hit an open goal from 6 yards or spend proper money for a proper striker.

Yes it's frustrating but think back to the last CH season, that was worse results without the performance or entertainment

Intelligent reply but chances, domination and overall possession don't win games I'm afraid. The team set up was just about good enough not to lose the game but nowhere near what was needed to win it.

We do need a clinical striker but we need to see huge, immediate and sustained improvements from the players that we have and this motivation needs to come from the manager and coaching staff as well as the players themselves. The entertainment and performance are night and day difference from the CH era but sadly doesn't compensate for the lack of goals. Just my thoughts. UTA

I think some people must have watched a different game to me... the football was pretty good at times , created lots of chances had the two best players by a country mile (Trossard & Lamptey).

Sure we didn't score so totally understand the frustration but we looked pretty good. As for Maupay , one sitter missed not sure the second was a sitter but agree a top striker should have scored but MANY PL strikers would have missed.

I think today means that we need to get one of the U23 strikers in either Tolaj or Ferguson.

Subs were a bit strange as I though Maupay was contributing a lot more just before he went off.

I would have kept Lamptey on because as soon as he went off Leeds got back in.

March did alright but maybe he should have come on instead of Maupay with license to shoot on sight.

Sarmiento should have been on earlier

Same old story I’m afraid. Glad I decided to stay at home in the end - although the players got a lot more abuse from the safety of my sofa than they would’ve got had I gone to the game.

Tbf to Maupay, it looked to me more like a look of frustration and disappointment with himself. Rightly so too. Didn't look to me like he was feeling sorry for himself as such. I'd be more worried if he went off smiling.

The biggest worry from that substitution is who we brought on to replace him. Such a shame Welbeck is so often injured. Head and shoulders the best striker option we currently have.

That's crap he can only deal with the players he has, A decent forward that was a simple win. A young Murray it would have been comfortable

Why is it crap? I do agree with you about a young Murray though.

Thought Solly and Parmentier did ok.
Lamps was taken off for fitness reasons following his long term injury.
Didn’t expect much from Jurgs……would have liked to see McAllister on .
