If anybody is bored tonight, have a look at GP's stats as our head coach. He ranks lower than the recently departed Frank Lampard, lower than tonight's opponent's coach (who took Fulham down and back up), and lower than the soon-to-be-gone Steve Bruce. Not my opinion, but fact.

I don't want him sacked, but he needs to start winning some matches soon.

I'm not sure what to think, when I write it down and post it I get told I'm wrong regardless - perhaps it's better to say nothing whatsoever ...? alas, even that will probably be picked up by some nutter telling me I'm clearly being negative or indeed positive, and thus I need to agree with them irrespective of who was right or indeed wrong... perhaps then... we can finally end this pointless bollocks once and for all.

I’ve given this some thought, we witnessed tonight forward players so badly drained in confidence it’s unreal. Overthinking every shot nothings coming naturally who’s fault is it? Owen was talking the other night about confidence said he had lost it at Newcastle until Kevin Keegan put his arm around him and built him back up to the player he knew he was.

I’m afraid you have to look at our coach, 30 goals in the championship, a good first PL season Maupay isn’t a bad striker he’s just shot of confidence overthinking every shot that comes his way.

And thus to round off a miserable evening, Sheffield United grind out a win at Old Trafford. Exactly the sort of performance and grit we seem totally incapable of producing.

We dont have a striker who can put the ball in the net nor it appears do we have the funds to bring a real proven goalscorer in but we keep bringing in young players for the under 23s who disappear into a black hole or get loaned out. Heres a thought get rid of most of them and buy a goalscorer!

boulaye dia in France, joint top scorer, and available for 13 million (thats what theyre asking allegedly)..... but hey ho, maybe this swiss second tier cheapo who looks like he's won a raffle will suddenly come good.

No credit to the keeper for the save from Trossard?

No straight forward. The save at the end was good, but that early save was a distinct lack quality on our part/Trossard. Please let's not disguise the fact that with the whole goal to aim at, a shot towards the middle of the goal is anything else.

Change the system??? We created 10 clear cut chances and the players on the pitch can't finish them...the system isn't the problem...sticking it in the net is the problem.

Every statistic says we create chance after chance and fluff them...you saw it tonight with your own eyes. We need a clinical finisher and we don't have one. We also aren't likely to sign one with the accounts we published...

So accept that we don't now have Murray to finish off the attacks, there isn't a simple solution

What a load of garbage. How long can the Potter in brigade keep peddling this "on another night we would win..." rubbish. He's had loads of "other nights" too many, he's out of his depth and so are we with him at the helm! On behalf of the majority of Brighton fans: WAKE UP

dribbling nonsense, you foot the bill

That was positive for me tonight. It took a world class keeping performance from Areola to deny us 3 points.

Far better performance than the weekend. Maupay and Trossard guilty of not taking their chances sadly. Potter couldn't have done any more tonight.

World class goalkeeping performance? Gimme strength! We've had a few games over the last three seasons where the GK has had the game of his life against us, but that didn't happen tonight!
He just had to stand there and the Brighton players hit him.

Top keeper, his positioning was excellent throughout. Best save came off the Fulham defender for the potential OG.

He didn’t make a single save that was anything other than routine???

He had a magnetic shirt on. The pace on the average Maupay shot confirms the ball has a lump of iron inside
