Are people seriously turning on Lallana? I thought we were clueless when we started slagging off Trossard.
This is why we can't have nice things.

Sick to the stomach. When will Potter learn that it’s all but impossible to score in the Premier League if you allow the opposition time to get back and organise themselves.

Every team knows how we play, it was clear from Palace’s first goal what Roy’s tactical plan was. We fell for it twice in the same game.

If we intend to play this style of attack with our football, we need Edison Cavani type strikers (We have Neil Maupay)

I’m not seeing three world class strikers going spare anywhere atm, so FFS inject some pace into the attack. At the moment it’s as if we think the goal is in the corner flags, the closer we get to the opposition goal, the wider we get. Then we wait politely for their defence to organise before mounting an attack.

Teams know how to beat us. Our only danger to them is in the first moments of an attack. If we get pushed out wide (which we do, almost every time) they just set up their defence and repel any incoming crosses or shots. It’s a training ground exercise for them.

I still see a lot of positives in how we play, but when it comes to launching an attack, we need some speed and strength up front that is going to cause opposition defenders to take risks in trying to stop us. At present, we’re toothless.

2 rules in PL football.
Make mistakes in and around the box you will get punished.
Don't take your chances you will get punished.
It is why we are where we are but we ain't going down and the future looks good.
Tonight though Palace also had luck and Cahill on their side.

If Alireza Jahanbakhsh plays for Brighton for so much as 30 seconds throughout the rest of his (hopefully short) career with us, that'll be 30 seconds too many - lovely bloke, but a technically woeful player in any high-level league

I love Lamptey or Veltman, with Mac Allister, great interplay, so creative.

Whilst on the left flank, without Solly, we’re shit at defence and atteck.

I’m praying that Ashworth, Winstanley and Porter have recruitment plans for our left this summer. Burn has blinders, but so many other games where he’s successfully targeted as a weak link.

And yet potter says anyone that picks on burn dont no wot they r on about but every team does so I surgest it’s potter that clueless

At least we didn't have to leave the ground listening to them celebrate - pointless atmosphereless practice matches - roll on next season whatever league we are in

Yeah tone it down now Gus. You are not the best placed former Brighton manager to have fun with this.

The Potter Out Campaign is back with a vengeance tonight.

All those misses are always his fault with those dullards; a manager is there to be shot at, remember?

Let us do away with managers then?

If this capitulation/“bad luck” was gonna happen against anyone, it was Palace. Written in the stars, but that makes me think the only way is up.

Come on, he had 2 sitters tonight. It’s natural people to be frustrated.

No. It’s not all his fault, but he’s not done it for us in our shirt yet. And he’s paid an awful lot of money. I’d sooner play Moder or a young player.

Can we now stop talking about how Palace must be fearing us overtaking them and all that bullshít.

We need to learn how to beat the teams around us cos we're not very good at that. Starting with WBA on Saturday.

There are shades of Poyet in Potter. A little bit too dogmatic about style over substance. The evidence is pretty overwhelming that our approach doesn't work against almost all teams at home (and many away) but because we play football "the right way" we are led to believe that anyone who questions the method doesn't understand football. Potter has to change something fundamental in his approach.

Lallana wasted two gilt edged opportunities.
Trossard had one.
Plus two brilliant blocks from Cahill.

I'm not sure what new approach we should take?
Defend like Place all game and hope to nick something on the break?
That's no good against teams parking the bus.

Absolute daylight robbery. Typical Palace. We must have one of the most unlucky teams of all time (along with a ridiculous amount of missed chances). Unbelievably frustrating season summed up by that match.

We’ve totally dominated them for 2 games and have only 1 point. It’s anti football. It’s a travesty that a team like that can be 6 points above us. Feel like I’m in The Twilight Zone.

Luckiest ***** in the world.
