MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

  • The home side hasn't won any of the past seven matches in this fixture (D3, L4), losing in both meetings last season.
  • Brighton are winless in six home league games against Burnley (D4, L2) and have scored just two goals in the last five.
Albion
  • Brighton can equal the club record of seven consecutive home games unbeaten in the Premier League.
  • They are just the fourth side to score in 31 successive Premier League matches, after Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.
  • Albion have gone 19 Premier League fixtures in a row without a clean sheet, the longest current run in the division.
  • They are the first side to have both scored and conceded in each of their opening 15 matches of an English top-flight season since Wolves in 1934-35.
  • The Seagulls, who have scored 98 goals in 48 matches in all competitions in 2023, could reach 100 in a calendar year for just the second time, having done so in 1955.
  • Teenagers have scored 18 Premier League goals for Brighton in 2023, the most for a team in a single year since 1998.
  • Evan Ferguson has scored 11 top-flight goals in 2023, the most by a teenager in a calendar year since Wayne Rooney scored 11 in 2005. The most recent teenager to score more was Francis Jeffers, who had 12 in 1999.
Burnley
  • Burnley have lost seven of their past eight league games.
  • They could lose six consecutive away matches in all competitions for the first time since a run of seven in 2010.
  • The Clarets have conceded 33 goals in 15 league games in 2023-24, having only let in 35 goals in 46 matches when they won the Championship last season.
  • Vincent Kompany's side are only the eighth team in Premier League history to earn seven points or fewer from the first 15 games of a campaign. All of the previous seven clubs were relegated.
  • Burnley's only league wins this season have come against fellow promoted sides Luton Town and Sheffield United.
  • Their last away clean sheet in the Premier League was at Brighton's Amex Stadium in February 2022.

It's Burnley, the trains will be like being up crap creek without a paddle, we still don't have a slide from the WSU to the ground floor and they won't have any pies left at the kiosk..

Were loose.

I appreciate that we're not really going to be that vocal today, so when we do chip in can we sing anything other than 'we pay your benefits'.

It's proper shitehouse, seriously classless, and just plain bad.

At the end of my tether
:albion2: Here we go, against a bogey team for us. Is it just the way they play that our silky smooth ball playing forward’s find hard to deal with . On paper we we should nail this but , it’s Burnley isn’t it? .. We never do.
But we come in hope and expectation.. Looking forwards not backward. Let’s do this !
