MATCH FACTS

Head-to-head

  • Brentford have won two of their last nine league games away to Brighton (D2, L5).
  • The Seagulls drew 3-3 at home to the Bees last season despite registering 15 shots on target - three more than in any other Premier League game in their history.
Albion

  • They have not drawn four consecutive Premier League home matches since November 2017.
  • Brighton have won four of their past seven midweek Premier League games, as many victories as in their first 38 (D15, L19).
  • Evan Ferguson has scored seven goals in his last eight league appearances at home.
Brentford
  • The Bees have won one of their 11 Premier League games outside of London in 2023 and are winless in their past eight such fixtures (D2, L6).
  • Thomas Frank's team have scored at least twice in all five of their Premier League victories this season but are winless in the seven matches when they did not score multiple goals (D2, L5).
  • Bryan Mbeumo has been directly involved in 14 goals in his last 17 Premier League appearances, scoring nine and assisting five, meaning he has had a hand in half of the 28 goals Brentford have scored in that period.

The distribution of goals between the opposing teams could define the whole result of this game.

But not if it's 0-0 though.

I hope The Atmosphere Police are prepared for this one.

Tonight's atmos' is gonna be morguesque.

The only saving grace is, compared to the aftermath of Bumley this evening is gonna seem like Rio on carnival night.

Put your big boy pants on coppers, or else they'll be some serious pearl clutching and a'swooning to the floor by the time we get to 5pm on Saturday.

The atmosphere is often better when the 'can't be ar#ed' brigade have an excuse not to come.

We are so running on fumes, I would take a point with no more injuries. Bite yer hand off.
Why out of interest? Newcastle have as many (more ?) injuries, had an away game against PSG last week - made no changes and beat Man Utd

Last two games we have been poor.
Dunk so vital for us.
Brentford (better than ManU currently) and would go ahead of us in our mid-table mini-league if they win.
Evidence is that when we are forced to over-extend players they pick up more injuries.
