NSCer, lifelong Albion fan and all-round good guy Dan Tester has recently released the third edition of Brighton & Hove Albion On This Day. Completely re-written, the book contains 27,000 more words than the second edition.
I started reading the book earlier this week but have just flipped forward to November 1st where I learned that on this day...
2001: We all wrote to local councillors requesting their support for that new stadium we all wanted. I wonder how that turned out?
2003: Mark McGhee took charge of his first game, a 2-2 draw at Peterborough.
2009: Ruthless Tony Bloom gave Russell Slade the elbow after a poor start to the season.
2010: Former Albion 'keeper Harry Baldwin passed away aged 90. Baldwin played 215 games for the Albion, which included five consecutive penalty saves.
You can buy via Amazon here - - doing so will also earn NSC a few pennies or buy in the club shop which is also stocking it.
