Norwich make Murray wait to move

Murray is out-of-favour under new Canaries boss Glenn Roeder
Out-of-favour Norwich City midfielder Ian Murray has been told he must stay at Carrow Road until the Championship outfit sign a replacement.
Hibernian and Falkirk had wanted the 26-year-old on loan, while Brighton have also expressed an interest.

Norwich might prefer a permanent move for Murray should the Norfolk outfit bring someone in themselves.

Murray joined Norwich from Rangers in the summer but has made just 11 appearances this season.

The versatile player who had a successful spell at Hibs has fallen out of favour with recently-appointed manager Glenn Roeder.

I thought we were linked with last week before we signed McFaul and Thomson. I would be surpised he we moved for him now. Was always sceptical that we would be able to afford his wages anyway.

Glenn Murray is a good player and a realistic target I think, he may cost a bit as Rochdale aren't under financial pressure to sell. As for Fleetwood (who has scored 30 goals in 32 games this season) he is a very unrealistic target. Cheltenham and Gillingham have had bids up to 170K rejected for him and he has said that he is happy to stay in the BSP until the end of the season. I think every club in our league and a lot from the Championship are interested in him so I rate our chances as fairly small.

Forest Green are being proper idiots & wanting an over the top price for him. He won't be laving unless they get 350 grand-ish

now that would be a useful signing, although a bit injury prone he always seems to make a good comeback

Trouble is like most youngsters he thinks he's Gods gift.:bigwave:

What exactly is idiotic about wanting a decent price for a player who's scored 21 league goals already this season, and is pretty much single handedly keeping them in with a chance of a play off place?
