Did anyone get me a half and half scarf? If so we can meet up Tuesday :).

And that's why these exist. For tourists. Working at Heathrow I see people coming in from the world over to watch matches. Had a Slovenian gent just this morning coming to watch Tottenham v West Brom. Many of these are coming for the spectacle of a match without having any affinity for a particular team. For them, a half and half scarf is as much a memento of matchday as the humble programme is to us. Let them. I don't have to buy one.

Exactly -if that is what they want to remind them of a match that might have special significance, then why not? I would not be interested in buying such a thing, but if others do for whatever reason, then good luck to them. This thread keeps coming up -why not just accept that we are all different?

Loads of kids with half and half scarfs in TW Train back. They are a family over for the weekend from Singapore.

I think the kids may become hooked on the Albion now from a far.

Played a great game today. Confused the hell out of a dozen half and half scarf sellers by asking if they had any half and half hats.

What fun to see their faces when we wound say it’s all the rage down south.

Half and half Brighton/Palarse scarfs Tuesday anyone.

I honestlt can not see the fuss from them in that why let it bother you? For some, tourists included, its a memento of the day at somewhere like Old Trafford some its sits something for the kids, some might like to collect them like programmes. Its a day out for many and really does anyone give a monkeys? If so get out a bit more not everyone is as die hard as the critics. I don get to go to games but if we where playing United or Real Madrid I wouldnt rule out buying one as a souvenier and keep my neck warm

I was in the NE corner up in the gods amongst Utd fans, dozens of them wearing half & half scarves.

My sons football team went on a stadium tour to Old Trafford last year. Those tours are a big money spinner in themselves, groups of 40 staggered every 15 minutes for an hour visit culminating in a trip to their club shop. I'd say 90% of the visitors are Asian.

It was quite an eye opener.

It makes some fans feel better about themselves if they can denigrate others, for their choices.

Or they could just hold an opinion that something is loathesome and tacky? They don’t need my permission or acceptance to buy them.

I had a couple around me, unsurprisingly they were the ones who didn’t open their mouths all game.

If they want to buy something tacky, then it's no skin off your nose.
