West...West.......WEST SUSSEX
So we have been relegated and the only bright spot has been the success of the youth team. Next year we will have a division one side with the majority of the players promoted from the youth team and most are from Sussex. So who do you think will make the first team and who are the local lads who have moved on to bigger and better?? things who would have benefited a promotion push? Post your team made up from Sussex born players.................. One good example this weekend was Worthing born Marcus Tudgay playing for Wednesday!!

:albion:

Do we have to include Tudgay? He never tires of pointing out that he left Worthing at 4 and remembers next to nothing about it. As the Duke of Wellington said, "I may have been born in a stable, but that doesn't make me a horse."

or Irish for that matter

Of the current crop of youngsters I've seen, the one that most excites me is Chamberlain, he looks to be have the ability to be a talented playmaker if he develops well, the kind of player our youth system hasn't quite managed to produce in recent years.

I did not know this.

Gareth Barry, Gareth Southgate, Scott Mean, Lance Cronin, Paul Ifill, Billy Idol, Nicolette Sheriden, The Cure, Suede are all from Sussex. Does this help?

A situation that was mutually agreeable for Wellington and every Irishman!

Wasn't he born in Kent?

In that if he had had his way, he would have taken an army over and massacred every last one of them.

Not a very nice man Mr Wellington:nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

He would look superb in an Albion team, the kind of adaptable striker/winger/team player that Leon Knight never could be - that's why McGhee tracked him for about 18 months! Just one of the many we couldn't afford alas and inevitable that he would help create our downfall yesterday.

The only ones I can think of are Paul Ifill, the Elphicks and The El-Abds. I'm not sure about Fraser and Gatting. Although I think Gatting was.
