I noticed, when the Crystal Palace U-21s beat Albion three weeks ago, that the Eagles had a Brighton-born central defender in their team - Joe Sheridan. Apparently he went to school in East Grinstead and also toured South Africa with the Surrey County Cricket Club U-16 academy squad.
Yesterday he was playing for the Palace U-21s against Leicester when he fractured his fibula upon landing from a header. The match was abandoned but he is apparently in good spirits - Update on Joe Sheridan
In one of those strange coincidences, the only Albion match I can recall being abandoned in recent memory was when the U-21s played at ....Leicester City, back in November 2016, when the game was abandoned in the 64th minute after Foxes' central defender Elliott Moore was knocked unconscious in a collision with a team-mate.
