Sounds a bit iffy.

The booking only sounds like it was made provisionally. If they didn't pay a deposit and insist on a written confirmation they must have been mad. Sounds a bit like they are trying it on?

agree... sounds fishier than the thread about the lost credit card...

makes all us blokes whose wives prepared our weddings in such meticulous detail all the more grateful though, eh?

Any hope of attracting Wedding Receptions in the future will be severely hampered by this. Presumably, they don't need the money!!

It is a good venue though, I had my Cricket Club Annual Dinner there, went very well !

Why don't they shift the tournament across the road to Benfield ? Not a bad little course, that. (apart from the hike across the A27 after the 3rd hole).

Let me guess ...

Your wife arrived in a carriage pulled by Dancing Unicorns. God himself was there to do the service. Your Best Man was Ghandi. The Rolling Stones provided the entertainment whilst everyone drank champagne from glasses fashioned from diamonds and ate Truffles with Caviar sauce off of Kylie's tits.

All in a reassuringly expensive venue somewhere in Central Hove ...

Shame. I gather many of the guests are having to travel a fairway for this reception as well.
Par for the course with these snooty golf club types though.
