It was our company that came up with the idea, (it was originally going to be run by Brighton & Hove Life magazine), but we handed the whole thing over to someone else when we sold the title. I think someone from here is going, but that's mainly cos she is a lush. Other than that, no-one from here appears that bothered.
The boss here wasn't nominated, and he should have been a nailed-on cert for an award. A few people in the business community here have raised a few eyebrows at that, so it would be interesting (slightly) to see how this sycophantic backslapping piss-up is viewed.

From what I can tell (I've not been to one before), our company tends to go along in order to throw sharp and heavy objects at any rivals who may also be there. I'm not too sure if any of us actually own any suits though. Not really our cup 'o tea. Whole thing seems to be run by Midnight this year. Worth going for the food and entertainment, if nothing else.
