I took a photo of the scoreboard of this game at 2-0 thinking "blimey, this might be as good as it gets".

I did the same at 3-0. And at 4-0. Because it did get better.

And yet who would have thought that it was only the second most important win at the Amex over Man Utd in those 12 months?

I watched that match on TV with my dad who is in his mid 70’s now. It was actually a little bit emotional. To that point it was the best team and arguably performance I had ever seen (wasn’t around in the late 70’s!). Almost unbelievable.
That game was the first time my eldest son saw us win, after 3 years of going! (Covid messed up a year of that). I remember saying to him at half-time "No matter what happens in this game, I've never seen a Brighton team play that well before, and even if we lose this game 1-4 you have still just witnessed possibly the best half you will ever see us play. You need to remember this because you might never see this again".

Little did I know he'd go on to see us batter Arsenal, Chelsea, Marseille, Spurs, Ajax, Liverpool etc in the next 2 seasons.

Potter had a world class midfield that Roberto doesnt have is a theory that suggests Bissouma, Mac, Caicedo and Gross were world class already when we signed them and thats not true. Our managers and staff deserve a lot of praise for helping those players along with others. From Chris helping Bissouma get better defensively to Roberto adding more flair to Alexis it all played a role and the players will be the first to admit it. Also goes for Potter ask any of those players if he helped them get better and get a firm yes

"I don't agree, but I'm not going to offer my own opinion."

Lame.

(Added to ignore list)
Well you may have all day to look at this I'm not going to. You seem a rather unforgiving type, perhaps you are one of those who has been trying to make young Adam Webster rise, because he did a club cooking video.

Still in Brighton
"Best" team we've put out is an interesting oddity because we'd all like to just squeeze in a Mitoma, Pedro and Estupinan into that OP lineup. But yeah, for me, all things considered (performance, result, opposition and actually being there* then that's subjectively the best Albion side fielded that I've seen.

*thanks again to HWT for the ticket

This was my favourite winning Albion team. Imho Estupinan is a better player than Cucu. a fit Welbeck would be a fine alternative to Ferguson.
