Just got home from the game. By playing the way we were, you can tell why we're all but down. No battle. No commitment (except Forster and Whing). No luck. The fans getting behind the team, although the relegation songs at the end were rather humorous.

Andersen - 5 - not really at fault for the first goal, not really too much to do

Whing - 6 - battling and committed. Actually cares about what is happening. Gave the Albion defence a proper bollocking in the second half

Heath - 6- wasn't a penalty and wasn't a red card. Coped well with what he had to do

Elphick - 5 - does he not have eyes? When we're losing Tommy we need to get the ball down the end we're attacking, rather than just hoofing it in to the stands at every given opportunity

Borrowdale - 5 - rather anonymous

Cox - 5 - actually had some good set-pieces today but he it too lightweight

El-Abd - 3 - at fault for the first goal, please don't play him in midfield

Virgo - 4 - anonymous, can't remember him doing anything of note

Bangura - 5 - gets stuck in. Nobody in the team helps him out when we have possession, reminds me of Therry Racon

Forster - 6 - battling and committed. What the f*** Slade was doing taking him off? The fans didn't like it when he got subbed

Davies - 3 - worse than Jonny Dixon

Subs:
Carole - 5 - has pace but nothing special
Owusu - 5 - should have started, but nothing of note when he came on
Fraser - 5 - anonymous

Didn't go today but on the argus report it says Davies was the most promising outfield player!

If that is the case then we are in the shit.

Reminds me of Joe Gatting, doesn't really know what he is doing and doesn't offer any positive contribution to the team

i'm totally against you on the davies mark at least he tries more than a lot of the players i thought he played very well our problem is we don't have a midfield passing needs to be worked on

Got to put a positive spin on an Adams signing....

Relegation songs?

Just humorous ones like:

"The Football League is upside down, and we're going up with Cheltenham...."
"Rochdale, on a Tuesday night"
"If you're all going to Morecambe clap your hands"
"GOSBTS, and we're going down with Cheltenham Town, for SBTS"

Anderson 7: Two good saves when one on one, could do little about either goal
Whing 6: Gave 100%, tried to give ball to feet where possible
Heath 6: Won a lot in the air, penalty and sending off were ridiculous, although he has now given away two pens in 4 games.
Elphick 5: OK in the air, a liability with the ball as can only kick it as far as possible
Borrowdale 5: Okay, but does not support the attack or give an option
El Abd 5: Out of position, kept diving in, unlucky to be substituted
Bangura 4: Can't think of a single decent forward ball he played
Virgo 3: Human totem pole who doesn't actually win much in the air, did nothing else.
Cox 5: Didn't look interested, had a shot on target from free kick.
Davies 6: The only player who was prepared to take on defenders, some good runs past the full back, but no one in the six yard box to do anything with them.
Forster 5: Quiet game from Foz, feeding on scraps as always these days.

Subs:
Carole 5: Gave width but never looked like beating the defender
Owusu 4: Did nothing, though to be fair he was given nothing from the midfield
Fraser 4: Anonymous

Anderssen 6 , kept us in it for the first 40 minutes with a few good saves including one with his legs that looked like a certain goal , Scunny also hit the crossbar twice.
Whing 7 , was the lynchpin of the defence today and put in the commitment , was on his knees at the final whistle with the disappointment.
Heath 6 , good clearance headers , Hooper got him sent off with his theatrics in the box.
Elphick 5 , Steady performance , booted the ball out of play numerous times when we were under pressure.
El Abd 4 , headless chicken job today playing in midfield.
Bangura 4 , a bit too inconspicuous for my liking.
Virgo 3 , didn't look interested playing for scraps.
Cox 4 , ineffective and normally second to the ball.
Davies 5 , is he supposed to be a striker ? seemed to head towards the corner flag and then run alongside the goal line to get crosses in , nothing special.
Forster 7 , seemed like he playing up front on his own , no quality through balls from midfield and had to work hard with what was being fed to him.

Subs
Carole 5 , no magic from Seb , missed a good chance to score.
Owusu 3 , how Slade could take off Fozzy and replace him with Owusu is amazing , Davies should have been taken off.
Fraser 3 , a performance on par with Virgo's.

IMO only 3 players showed any grit , Anderssen , Whing and Forster , all the rest weren't up for it as if the survival stuffing has been knocked out of them.

first half we played 4 5 1 which explained why Davies was out wide. To criticise him for beating defenders and crossing into the 6 yard box seems harsh. Surely should be asking why there was no one in the box

If you are a striker your instinct is to shoot at goal not go past the last man and then cross the ball to an invisible player.

Relegation songs?

We simply HAVE to sing 'We'll meet again' by Vera Lynn. Could sound quite decent with a few voices, along with some merry hand waving gestures.

Also, I'm sure someone can come up with a better version of the 'Amarillo' song, but here goes:

Is this the way to Lincoln City?
Daggenham and Accrington Stanley?
Next year we'll play all of those teams
But Russell Slade will lead the way...

Sha la la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la la
(Can't think of a last line)

Brighton and Hove Albion F.C. for the last line
